Makes me wonder why we fail to count our blessings!
There are plenty and it's not that we don't know of them,
Some how we seem to have stopped appreciating them.
It's so easy for us to get lost in our life's everyday battles,
We seldom pause to look inwards, we are busy chasing dreams of castles.
I realize that it's not too hard to get over moments of distress,
If only we were to be a little humble and look at things afresh.
Make a new beginning, it's never too late for anyone ever,
A little nudge, a little bit a pacifying is all that inner child needs.
