Happiness comes in small packets !!!

It’s been a long time since I last spent some time with myself.  The hustle bustle of everyday life has kind of robbed me off that me-time!

Nevertheless I felt a strange sense of awakening today, as I stood outside a defunct store more precisely under its roof in pouring rain. I stood there in silence being one amongst the crowd seeking shelter from the rain.

That moment there, watching the rain was an incredible sight to my eyes. On the other side of the road on the wall were posters of some Tollywood and Sandalwood movie (read Telagu and Kannada film Industry respectively). Couple of rickshaws slowed down hoping to get few passengers but they didn’t get any. Not because there weren’t any, but because they were asking obnoxious price to ferry people. People half drenched in rain kept alighting and getting into the buses which did stop there.

For many a people this might be just another moment in their life, but I believe people seldom think so much about such moments. But such silly and small moments make what we call life. To me beauty always lies in such small moments of life.

Anyways the rain never stopped, as it’s subsided to become light drizzle I walked into the streets. Spreading my arms like wings, I took a deep breath.  I was slightly wet in rain by now,  as I started to walk down the road towards my home.  I could feel a sense of peace, peace not elsewhere in the world but peace within, in that tiny yet valuable moment. It was a moment where I could feel from within, what I would call the moment of happiness.

Silly as it may sound, happiness comes in small packets.

Cheers and stay happy! Peace!

  1. It's the little things in life that add up to make it beautiful. Like the song says, "Slow down, you move too fast. You've got to make the morning last"

Awakening Of the Inner Self!

It was yet another  Friday  or billions of earthlings. May be it was a mundane day ahead for some and exciting for others. An exciting day ahead for the ones who were certain of the joy to be unwrapped the next day, the weekend. Well, in my case it was the former. Blame it on being one amongst the many who work on Saturdays.
