Life Is Beautiful

Sitting in the park, amidst the lush greenery, I saw a few people having conversations with a smile, A few people lost in time playing with their innocent kids, And a few others are sitting in solitude yet happy. The air I breathed smelled of joy and happiness, It smelled of content and peace all around, A moment peace was found amidst a tranquil surrounding, I looked inwards and told myself that life is indeed beautiful. -VJ Says ~ Cheers and Peace

Joy Of Life Is In NOW!

“Let’s fall in love, madly with now, Let’s not worry about why, what and how. Let’s not bother about the unseen, Now is the princess and the only true queen.” As I stepped out of my office I could feel the rain drops slowly wetting the streets. It was a drizzle, a heavy rain would have been even better. But the drizzle was enough set off the unique fragrance of wet soil. As I walked down the road to catch an auto to get home, the drizzle got stronger so did the fragrance. At that precise moment I could feel a gentle smile blossoming on my face. I was enjoying it, wishing to get drenched in rain if it was to get heavy. Such small silly moments have a lot of joy filled in them. The feeling of joy still lingered around even after it had stopped drizzling. It feels blissful to enjoy these moments. Somehow it makes me believe in the power of now. The present moment is the one which needs to be celebrated. The future is still few miles away. Until we get there and turn it...

New Day, New Beginning!

There few acts and action from which you derive immense happiness, but they don’t pay you to make a living off it. They may be hobbies you pursue, things that you do to have a happy soul. And somewhere down the journey you add the element of expectations to it. Instead of acts of selfless joy these turn to be acts of ego. Expectations somehow add to your miseries which you were already battling in life. Gradually you stop pursuing little acts of happiness and stay stuck in daily muddle of chasing the unknown to make a living. Until one day you wake up after a sleepless night and speak to your inner self. Cry out loud, question self about your foolishness and then feel determined to start the journey rediscover self. You start to put together bits and pieces of the shattered self. Feel resurgent and decide to start pursuing those acts of selfless joy. Fully aware that the battle of life neither begins with self nor can be brought to an end. It only transforms to present new si...

A Silent Love Story

"Silence around in your absence speak of you , In hushed tones and unknown whispers I hear you, You not being around at this moment, Doesn't take away your presence in my life, It only make me believe stronger in our love, We shall keep building memories of togetherness, They will forever be remembrance of our happiness." He read these lines over and over again and small smile escaped his lips. He took yet another sip of coffee and laid the cup back on the table. He stared outside the window and drifted back into his thoughts. She had been gone for a while now and he had been living alone. Through these days of lonely life he had realized that his love had only grown deeper. He knew she would be back soon and he was eager to have her back in his arms. He was lost in moments of past when they were together yet something seemed amiss. It was not that he didn’t love her enough; it was just that it was never conveyed enough, or so he thought. Then he thoug...

The Quest For Happiness And Beyond

“Happiness is not always outcome of an act, Happiness is at times the act itself. A lot of times happiness is lost, Lost in transition of thoughts. It would be much easier to be happy, By living more and thinking less.” I wrote the above lines and began to ponder why so much fuss about happiness.  I questioned myself, “Aren’t there multiple avenues leading to happiness?”  I let my mind go a little wilder and let it take trip of its own.  I dig deeper and realised that sadness is the key to realising the absence of happiness. More importantly the existence of happiness gains prominence because sadness exists.  A relation closely shared by truth and lies and also shared by light and darkness.  Some prefer silence than making noise; it’s the act of making a point by not making one. One can certainly be happy without going out in the wilderness hunting for happiness. Seeking the known which is camouflaged and labelled to be the unknown is...

Accidental Love Story Of Strangers

Hey you stranger, Would you like to talk to me? I am feeling lonely tonight, Would you like to walk with me? Let’s share some stories, Stories of our lives, Some stories with a smack of salt, Some stories with a dash of sugar. The walk may not be long, The togetherness will be short, We may turn strangers again, As we reach the next crossroads. But the pain of separation wouldn’t be heavy, For our hearts will be lighter. We both will be smiling as we part ways, For our minds will be free of some baggage, And our hearts filled with love and joy. Cheers and Peace ~ Vijay Shenoy A.K.A #GabbyVJ

Together Forever Until Sunset Of Our Lives

She was sitting alone at sea shore, Her eyes twinkled with joy, As she looked with affection at her feet, The shining silver toe ring, A gift, a symbol of love, wrapped with promises. He had told her a year ago on this very day, He will be back and they would meet again, He had gone far away across seven seas, But today he would return to her forever. She looked up at the sky, There were no twinkling stars tonight, But the moon did shine bright, In the distant moon too she saw his reflection. She felt a gentle tap on her shoulder, She turned around and it was him, He had kept up his promise, He was back in her arms again. The kiss that night in the moonlit night, It said it all without any words spoken. A new journey was about to begin, A journey of togetherness, Not just filled with promises of a new life , But the one in which they would be together forever, They had both made a promise that night; This journey of toget...

A Love Story To Remember

He held her hand, looked up at her and said, "Nothing can ever be more beautiful than you. Never met anyone who is as wonderful as you. I can sense thy love, I'm mesmerized by the shine in you twinkling eyes." She smiled at his innocence, she wished to see her angel. She felt sad that she could never know what he look like. Darkness is all she could see through her blind eyes. He kissed her soft ly and they walked away hand in hand. Little did she know darkness is all he could see through his blind eyes.   - VJ Says ~ Cheers and Peace!

Sweetness Of Our Love Lasts Forever

“All the remorse and misery of my life, Melted the moment when our eyes met in silence. And now the sweetness of our togetherness lasts forever.” These were the words I wrote for her on the eve of Valentine’s Day. When I got back home hours went by before I picked the phone and told her I need two minutes of her time to recite three lines I wrote for her. Finally I called her up and recited these lines. I could imagine the smile on her face. Few minutes later my mobile phone beeps signalling a new incoming message. I eagerly check it out and this is what it says;

Some Say Its White, Some Say It’s Black!

Elusive Happiness Which Was Within!!

Happiness comes in small packets !!!

It’s been a long time since I last spent some time with myself.  The hustle bustle of everyday life has kind of robbed me off that me-time!  Nevertheless I felt a strange sense of awakening today, as I stood outside a defunct store more precisely under its roof in pouring rain. I stood there in silence being one amongst the crowd seeking shelter from the rain. That moment there, watching the rain was an incredible sight to my eyes. On the other side of the road on the wall were posters of some Tollywood and Sandalwood movie (read Telagu and Kannada film Industry respectively). Couple of rickshaws slowed down hoping to get few passengers but they didn’t get any. Not because there weren’t any, but because they were asking obnoxious price to ferry people. People half drenched in rain kept alighting and getting into the buses which did stop there. For many a people this might be just another moment in their life, but I believe people seldom think so much about such moments. But...

In Search Of Illusive Happiness

Why are you searching for the lost happiness? It was never yours, nor will it ever be. For no one can stay happy forever, If it was so then sorrow would be an orphan. I sit alone and remorse the absence of happiness, The more I want it, the sadder I feel, This pursuit of happiness gives birth to the evil of sadness, And in this very moment I ignore and forget, The sacrifice I make of the present. Yet the heart seems to rule the mind, It keeps the hunt on, for something that is illusive to find. With the life in tatters, There seems nothing more to cherish, Than a dozen half smoked buds and few empty bottles. I wander alone on the beaches of shame, I seem to forget the purpose, the goal and also my name. And then finally resting my head on the rocky shores, I call for the end of misery as I knock on the silent doors. ---- VJ ----- Cheers n Peace!
