Trust, deception and betrayal

Sanjay seemed to be in a hurry to get to work. He searched for his mobile phone to check if there were any missed calls and found it had been switched off.  He was having a severe headache, blame it on the hangover. To top it he had failed to wake up early again. He cursed himself for getting back home late from the party last night. He switched on his phone and shoved it into his pant pocket. He shut the door with a bang and rushed down the stairs. He hired an auto and was on his way to office when the mobile phone rang. It was a call from an unknown number. He received the call nevertheless. The next few minutes he seemed to have gone numb. His voice choked as he asked the driver to take him to Swaraj park.

An Incomprehensible Love Story

Miles away in a distant land, A heart beats for a soul across seven seas. Their destinies are entwined mysteriously, But they shall never meet. She looks up at the sky and whispers words of love to the clouds, She hopes that they will travel to the other side of the world. He stands tall on the misty mountains, He tries to reach out to the messengers, the invisible clouds. Incomplete Love Story

Some love stories are always incomplete, Some feelings are forever buried deep within, He wanted to tell her what it means, But words are never as good as feelings. He kept creating stories with characters unknown, All he wanted to hide was the true tales of life. He knew that she was all but a dream, When she appeared in real he was in a land unseen. She knew it too in her heart, But she never spoke a word ever, He never knew why she held back, Words of love had forever been buried away. -        VJ Says ~ Cheers and Peace

Floor Number 13

He saw her standing by the elevator, wearing a long black overcoat. She looked worried and he wondered why? What was bothering her? She then looked at her watch. It was already 6:12PM and she knew he might have already reached home. What will she tell him? Where had she been? She was now clearly anxious and could feel her heart beat getting louder. The elevator door slides opens. In a hurry to get in, she accidentally drops her purse. Before she could realize the doors close. He dashes towards the lift. He bends down and picks up her purse. The elevator door opens again. She sees the stranger from the store in a long black overcoat same as hers. He gets in and gives the purse back to her. She doesn't thank him. She doesn't smile. He wonders why but then refrains from asking. She gets off on the 13th floor. He gets off on the 14th floor. Just then he hears a gunshot & a loud scream. Was it her? It sure was someone on the 13th floor. He rushes do...

Rays Of Love Brighten Life

Image Credit: www.facebook.com/vinay.cygnus “You know it's not you out there, Smiling because you have to, Exchanging can of lies to please thy ego, Stubbing the truth and shunting you emotions, Doing things you always despised. All you ever wanted to be is free, To speak unmindful of outcomes, To be shamelessly truthful, But now you are none of these.” Karan reread the lines he had penned in his diary the previous night. A frail smile appeared on his face. He then walked out to the balcony of his apartment and lit up his fifth cigarette for the night. As he exhaled the smoke, he stared at the empty street. He took another drag, as he let go the smoke he drifted into a flash back of a sort. All the events that transpired during the day flashed in front of his eyes.

Until We Meet Again !!!

Image courtesy of FreeDigitalPhotos.net Avantika sat on the corner table gently rolling the golden liquid inside the glass. She gulped another sip of Highland Park, her favourite single malt whiskey from the glass. She lifted the glass in air and kept staring at the light through the glass. She gently placed the glass on the table and kept staring at the glass absentmindedly. It was the only day in the entire year she ever drank alcohol.

The Spirited Girl And Her Sparkling Soul ...

Image courtesy of FreeDigitalPhotos.net The smile on your face is all conquering, Many a hearts might have been defeated. But somewhere deep within, It tries to mask all your agony. Anguish, pain, deceit and defeat, You have triumphed them all. You are spirited enough to beat the blues, To smile in pain, to laugh at misery, Are qualities blessed to few. You are more than what the eyes see, You are more than what ears hear. I might be right or I might be wrong, May be you are blessed to be,  Just the way you are. -           VJ Says ~ Cheers and Peace

The Angry Dragon Within !

He was standing on the road side wiping off the sweat on his forehead with his left hand and blood was dripping off the iron rod in his right hand. He was shouting aloud looking at the corpse lying on the ground, “I told you don’t argue with me.”

Confession Of Love ......

The sun was going down; the sky was looking nothing short of an amazing piece of art with kaleidoscope of colours. They sat next to each other staring at the sun as it set. The evening breeze seemed to be playing with Chandani’s hair as they fell on her face. Rajiv gently moved her hair with his wrinkled hands to view her pretty face.

Emotions Are Timeless, So Is Love !

Image Credit :  www.facebook.com/Biplabmahato.photography The outside temperature must have been around ten degrees when Sanjeev alighted from the Air India flight at Chandigarh airport. The flight had to make an emergency landing owing to the bad weather. After ten long years Sanjeev had finally decided to take a vacation. Akash had convinced him during a casual chat on Facebook the previous night that it was high time he broke out of the self imposed shell and fourteen hours later he was on his way to meet his childhood friend in Delhi.

The Beginning Of A New Journey!

“Coffeeee!! Teaa!!” “Coffeeee!! Teaa!!” The vendor called out as he passed the coupe. “Thuddd!” The baby fell on its knee trying to walk across to his mother. The mother ran to pick up the child and is busy placating him. Ravishing young lady sat across him checking her flock of hair in the mirror of her mini clutch bag. The chatter from the group of young boys engrossed in a card game relayed from above. The train had halted at Varnasi for 15 mins. He hadn’t moved or uttered a word from the time he got on. The newspaper covered Sanjay’s face; his eyes peered through his bi-focal spectacles and his hair rested neatly combed sideways. A pencil in his hand was losing his grip, he felt drowsy as he struggled to keep his eyes open. He heard someone calling out his name in a distance. He tried to run in the direction of the feeble voice. As he reached closer, the voice got louder, and the vision got better. He saw a young boy struggling to stay afloat...

Mortal Life And A Priceless Friendship!

Sameer looked at his mobile phone to figure out what the time was. It was 3:00 AM, cursing his lost sleep he got out of his bed and walked into his kitchen for a glass of water. After quenching his thirst, he tried to get back to sleep. But sleep was hard to come; he kept tossing around in bed. Finally deciding to check if he could find something interesting to read, he switched on his laptop. As the laptop was powering on he felt the pain for the first time that night. It was like an agonising pinch in his chest close to where biologically his heart should be.  He drank some more water hoping that it would help.

The Lady In Pink !

The bus driver was always punctual and would be there always sharp at 8:30 AM. It took him 48min to be precise to reach his office from Shakti Nagar, where he resided.
