Every Journey Gives Birth To A Story

"Always heartbreaking when you got to leave your city behind and all that you carry along is a bag full of memories." I wrote the above lines as the train was about to chug off from Hubli railway station. I was heading back to Bangalore, which I term as my Karmabhoomi, for that’s where I work. In the last couple of months my visits to Hubli have been more frequent. I end up spending a minimum of two days every month in the company of my parents in Hubli. It’s a tier two city as everyone terms it. So there is a huge gap between the socio-economic lifestyles of Bangalore and Hubli. One part of the story is it does make me feel uncomfortable as lack of development in Hubli is very apparent.   The city by itself has always been the epicentre of not just socio-political events but happens to be a prime city for trade reasons too for northern Karnataka. The pain areas are very basic yet they are the most important ones. Basic infrastructure such as roads, drinking ...

Confession Of A Blogger

Right now the clock on my desk reads 07:54 AM and on this very same desk is are few of my friends swimming joyfully in the aquarium. Back of my mind a question pops up, "why you writing all this just hours before you rush to work?" I am doing this so that I can document my thoughts right now in my mind before they evaporate. Some confessions too are pending to be expressed. First thing first, the work-home-eat-sleep and the continuous loop that this process being followed had almost killed the real me. Killed it all until I came across an update that my blog has been nominated along with what I believe hundred or as I think thousands of other blogs for "The Indian Blogger Awards 2013 !" #IBAwards2013 organized by www.indiblogger.in   The nomination is a true story and you get the details by clicking this Link: http://www.indiblogger.in/iba/entry.php?edition=1&entry=41228 Confession number 1 is that the first reaction of mine to this was wow! It may or ...

Believe In Your Dreams

“Dreams are not mere imaginations of your mind,   They are the true desires impregnated in your soul,   Have the courage to believe in your dreams,   Success or failure of it will not make or break your life,   But it will sure give you the courage to be yourself,   It will help you discover the real you, The real you, who is imprisoned by your own doubts.” There are several instances in our lives when we feel that we have hit rock bottom. In fact the word rock bottom itself is largely overused by every one of us. It’s true that we all have our high and low points in life. But it’s all just different phases of life. Sometimes we feel euphoric and at other times we are depressed. The key to happiness the way I see it is to strike a balance between euphoria and depression. Yes we all become sad when few dreams we cherish don’t turn into reality. But dreams have no expiry date. So it’s all about keeping the faith alive. Believe in you...

Rambling Mind

There was a time when I used to pen down my thoughts very often. And now is a time where I hardly post anything at all on my blog. What I realize is that thoughts haven't died but sure what is dying slowly is my drive to pen them and share on my blog. Not a happy feeling if you ask me.  It's going to be a hard task to get back to my old mode. This sure is an attempt to get back to do what I really do love doing.  So many things in my everyday life catch my imagination. Thousands of questions pop up in my mind. I negotiate them all but only in my mind. Those are thoughts unexpressed. Now as I make conscious attempt to pen the thoughts of my mind, I can feel the release of a magical feeling within. May be a few would be able comprehend what I mean. Many others would say its random rambling. Random they all might be, but the rambling helps me keep an important part of me alive. -        VJ Says ~ Cheers and Peace

Sweetness Of Our Love Lasts Forever

“All the remorse and misery of my life, Melted the moment when our eyes met in silence. And now the sweetness of our togetherness lasts forever.” These were the words I wrote for her on the eve of Valentine’s Day. When I got back home hours went by before I picked the phone and told her I need two minutes of her time to recite three lines I wrote for her. Finally I called her up and recited these lines. I could imagine the smile on her face. Few minutes later my mobile phone beeps signalling a new incoming message. I eagerly check it out and this is what it says;

Elusive Happiness Which Was Within!!

What will people say?

Photo Credit:  Image: David Castillo Dominici / FreeDigitalPhotos.net You like sketching and painting, you have been secretly dreaming of being an artist one day. One fine day you walk up to your parents and tell them you want to pursue a career in fine arts. The typical response is “Just because you do some silly sketching in your notebook you won’t become M.F. Hussain.”

Stories Of Life – The Secret Of Joy!

Photo Credit:  Image: digitalart / FreeDigitalPhotos.net I was walking back home last evening and was passing through the small play ground close to my house. There were couple of small groups of young lads enjoying their evening games. A few playing cricket a few other chose the local game of Gilli-danda*. What was common amongst all these kids was they were happy and upbeat, engrossed in their game, cheering each other. A sense of happiness prevailed. As I stood there in one of the corners watching these boys play, one of the young boys playing cricket hit the ball hard and the ball rushed towards me. I just picked it up and threw it back. The boys cheered as it hit the stumps and they smiled. I just wondered how quickly with growing years we adults have lost this innocent smile.

A Tender Story Of Love Unexpressed!

Photo Credit: http://dildostichat.com/wallpapers/free-wallpaper-desktop-wallpaper-nature-sunset-voetmann-picture-1 She sat alone on the rock starring at the sun, It was sun set and she was the only one. I saw this girl every evening at the park, She used to stay back until it was dark. I always wondered who she was, Always wanted to know what her story was. She was beautiful and I was no one, Silence is all that we had in common.

At The Break Of Dawn !

As I step out of my home, it’s dark and silent. It’s not the silence that I wish to experience today. It’s something much more beautiful I’m chasing today. I look at the sky; it’s still a full moon above me in the sky. The moon is shinning bright, as if it’s starring right at me. We exchange stares and probably a smile.

Give Life Another Chance

Holding back your thoughts, Suppressing your feelings, Strangling your dreams, What did you gain? Don’t let the dream in you die, Don’t let the child in you cry, Let your desires fly high. Some of your life may have been spent, Spent In the shadow of a saddened heart, But life is what you make it to be. You have it what it takes to create the magic, Stop worrying about finding the logic. You can always have what your heart desires, It’s never too late to live your dream.
