Falling In Love With Darkness

I looked up at the sky 

lying down on the ground,
I tried hard to find a 

twinkling star in the dark sky,
The clouds had hid them all, 

away from my sight,

The moon too seemed to be shy,
Darkness was the queen tonight.

I stayed there on the ground peacefully 

stretching out my arms,
I slowly seemed to be drawn 

into the beauty of darkness,
It was as if she was teasing me with her charm,
Asking me to embrace her 

and hold her close in my arms.

I closed my eyes and there was darkness within,
I opened my eyes and there was darkness around,
We seemed to have been 

interwoven by soul and body,
And I stayed there on the ground 

watching her takeover the sky,
Nothing seemed more sweet 

than this moment of love, this moment of high.
