She kept
walking aimlessly on the beach,
Leaving
behind footprints of her naked feet,
With every
wave that swept to the shore,
Old prints
kept being erased,
But she kept walking
making new ones.
I was sitting
on the rocks bewitched by her,
Was it her
innocence or was it her smile,
Was it the
aura, was it her energy unseen,
What was it
that made me feel mesmerized?
She was an enigmatic
persona personified.
She looked up
at the sky,
Searching for
the shiny face of the sun.
She smiled
when she spotted it glowing at her,
She shielded
her face with her silky palm.
She turned
around and called out for me,
Gesturing
with her hands waving in air,
She was asking
me to join her by the sea.
I got up from
where I sat and ran towards her.
When I got to
where she was, she was gone,
She vanished like
evaporated thoughts.
And I stood
stranded yet smiling by the sea.
Strange are
the ways these pictures make me feel,
Hanging on my
hall, all neatly nailed and framed.
I look at
them yet again,
Trying to
connect with the souls entrapped .
It’s the one
in the centre, with a lady by the sea,
I am trying to
shake myself out of the dream.
She looks
like an angel,
May be in a place that I have never been,
She might be
someone else’s love,
And to me she is just another dream.

For all you know, the footprints in the picture could belong to a guy, may be to the photographer who walked backwards to click that picture? :)
