And it rained…

As I walked out of the office into the wet street a smile escaped my lips. After several weeks of unbearable summer heat it had finally rained. The cool breeze of wind only added to my joy.

There has always been something mystical about rain. Especially the occasional ones which are blessed in summer. They bring along a wave of positivity, a sense of hope, a feeling of liberation.

In some way these sudden rain symbolizes change. The summer heat reminds me of the grueling challenges we all face in life. Summer at its peak gets unbearable and then it’s time for the much needed change.

Nothing beats the joy of walking down the street after it has rained. It’s yet another simple joy of life, so many of us fail to appreciate at times. I simply feel euphoric when the cool breeze gently caresses my face as I continue walking down the road.

The best thing you can do right now is to go out for a walk. It might be bit to late considering its past midnight. But I wouldn’t mind going for one right away. The silence around only adds to the tranquility we desire the most. So it’s time for me now for the much needed short walk before I go to sleep.

Awakening Of the Inner Self!

It was yet another  Friday  or billions of earthlings. May be it was a mundane day ahead for some and exciting for others. An exciting day ahead for the ones who were certain of the joy to be unwrapped the next day, the weekend. Well, in my case it was the former. Blame it on being one amongst the many who work on Saturdays.
